Psychology of type (five chapters in PAGE, german magazine of digital graphic design)
„What about the impact of type?“. This question is to be asked by the austrian mediapsychologist Christian Gutschi. The experiment and its methods are unique in the german speech area. The result is a guideline for finding the appropriate typeface. The study originated in cooperation with famous typedesigners. A key of aesthetic letterfeatures makes it possible to generalize the results on a wide range of the most used typefaces in print. The explorated typefaces are: Boton, Bodoni, Jersey, Balance, Serif Gothic, Stone Informal, Gill Sans, Rotis, Optima, Bernhard Modern.
